J.J. Watt urged fans to look away as Tyquan Thornton appeared to suffer a gruesome ankle injury late in the Kansas City Chiefs' clash with the Las Vegas Raiders.
On Sunday at Allegiant Stadium, the Chiefs and Raiders met in an AFC West showdown between two undefeated teams. The game was tight in the fourth quarter when Patrick Mahomes found Thornton on a huge deep play that set the Chiefs up on the goal-line with a chance to take the lead.
Thornton, who was tackled by rookie Treydan Stukes, tried to celebrate his long gain but immediately collapsed to the turf. He pointed to his left ankle, which appeared to be pointing in a direction it shouldn't - and the CBS booth immediately warned fans not to look.

"That was a gruesome sight for Thornton," a deflated Nantz said. Watt replied: "Look away if you’re squeamish.."
"The Chiefs — Walker, Worthy — they came up and saw what you saw at home. We’re going to step aside," Nantz concluded.

Thornton was carted off as teammates and opponents collectively took a knee. The Chiefs receiver had a huge day and represents a devastating deep-threat loss for the offense, as his five receptions for 111 yards and two scores - including the 55-yard catch to set up Kenneth Walker's go-ahead score - was crucial to Kansas City's late resurgence.
