The host of The Daily Show, Jon Stewart, reportedly mocked Donald Trump over his earlier "Silicon Valley tyrants" comment and pointed out the president might have forgotten his past statements. Jon showed clips of Trump from different years in which he attacked tech leaders and called them tyrants, corrupt, and completely dishonest. In that footage, the president also accused them of running the whole country.
According to The Hill, Trump once said that there was a censorship cartel working in the country. The president explained that this cartel was made up of a dangerous group of government officials, Silicon Valley tyrants, left-wing organizers, and corrupt media outlets. The president believed that the cartel worked together to silence the voices of Americans.
The HuffPost revealed that Jon also showed footage where the president called Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg a weirdo. The host commented that he had not realized Trump had said things that sounded true at his rallies and added that he had been too harsh on him.

The Daily Show comedy: Jon Stewart made fun of Donald Trump's recent AI regulations
In The Daily Show, Jon Stewart wanted to highlight that Donald Trump's rhetoric vanished when the industry leaders came to the White House and made a deal with the president regarding regulating AI. Jon asked,
"What happened? I thought you hated these guys. Now you got little inside jokes? Little inside jokes? What, they give you millions of dollars or something? Well, how can you justify letting the tech giants regulate themselves?"
Jon played a video of Trump where he stated that the most intelligent people in the world are keeping an eye on one another. In the footage, the president explained that these individuals have very high intelligence, and they are carefully monitoring each other's actions.

After watching the clip, Jon mocked Trump's idea by saying that extremely intelligent people would never struggle to monitor one another. He added that their role was to ensure moral and legal boundaries are not crossed. He pointed to examples such as the 2008 financial crisis and the real Epstein Files photo showing Stephen Hawking, which he cited as evidence. The host mimicked Trump:
"I thought it was a symposium."
Jon then mocked him, saying that he was already heading toward h*ll anyway, and admitted that he might be exaggerating the dangers that AI could bring. He then challenged the so-called high-I.Q. council to convince him, saying he was willing to listen. Finally, he raised a question: if this technology is fully deployed, what will be the likely outcome?
Donald Trump's recent AI updates
The BBC reported that Trump appointed Jay Clayton as the Director of National Intelligence to lead a new task force on AI. The task force will coordinate government engagement with businesses, consumers, and religious organizations.
Democratic Senator Elizabeth Warren criticized the move and argued that AI should be regulated. However, the president dismissed the idea of introducing laws to control the development of the technology, even though there is an ongoing debate about the risks of AI and its impact on humanity.
