Both "Shrek" and his outhouse are coming soon to an AMC Theatre near you.
To celebrate 25 years since the stinky, burly green ogre first debuted on the big screen, the Leawood, Kansas-based movie theater chain is offering a "Shrek-ified" popcorn bucket.
"In the morning, we’re making waffles, but tonight, it's popcorn!" AMC Theatres said in an April 23 X post. "Celebrate the 25th anniversary of 'Shrek' with The Outhouse popcorn collectible. Large popcorn included."
According to AMC Theatres, the Outhouse popcorn collectible comes with a large popcorn and will be available starting May 1, "while supplies last." The release precedes the 25th anniversary of the DreamWorks Animation film by a little over a month and the release of "Shrek 5" by about a year.

Joining Mike Myers and Cameron Diaz for the fifth installment is none other than Zendaya, who will voice Shrek's teenage daughter Felicia. "Shrek 5" will premiere in theaters on June 30, 2027.
In addition to the release of the collectible, AMC Theatres will also be screening "Shrek" at over 200 locations nationwide, including multiple screenings at AMC's Dolby Cinema, from May 14 through May 21.
"We’ve seen incredible fan excitement around our collectible popcorn buckets, and the SHREK Outhouse is such a fun, nostalgic way to celebrate a classic film," AMC Theatres said in a statement.

'Shrek 5' coming soon
Universal Pictures has kept almost all things "Shrek 5" under wraps. The film studio did, however, reveal the cast in a February 2025 teaser.
The nearly 30-second clip features some familiar faces i.e., Fiona, Shrek, Donkey and Pinocchio. Mike Myers (Shrek), Cameron Diaz (Fiona) and Eddie Murphy (Donkey) are reprising their roles for the fifth installment.
Shrek's teenage daughter Felicia, who dons a deep green lip, a half-up-half-down hairdo and a nose ring, makes her first appearance in the teaser. The clip confirmed Zendaya's casting as Felicia.
As part of the announcement, Universal Pictures re-shared a 2017 X post from Zendaya that reads, "I watch Shrek too often in my adulthood."
In the teaser, the group looks into the magic mirror, which has made appearances in other "Shrek" movies, to see a TikTok-style slideshow of memes, including Shrek sporting pink sunglasses and a shirtless six-pack. Felicia, a teenage ogre, bursts out with an "Ew!" while Fiona swoops in with, "Oh, momma like."
Adolescent ogres were introduced in the 2007 release of "Shrek 3," when Shrek and Fiona gave birth to triplets: Fergus, Farkle and Felicia. Up until now, the triplets have only been seen as babies in the franchise.
