Jennifer Garner reflects on the emotional final days of Alias, including a birthday surprise from the crew
The actress admits that she still can't watch the final episode of the show, nearly 20 years after it aired
Garner tells PEOPLE she remains close with many cast and crew members, including Victor Garber and Michael Vartan
Jennifer Garner still thinks fondly about her time on Alias.
When asked about what moments from set she remembers most, the actress, 53, tells PEOPLE, “I have about a million moments from set that stand out to me.”
The ABC spy series, created by J.J. Abrams, ran for five seasons, from September 2001 to May 2006.

The 13 Going on 30 actress says that she’ll “never forget the day we wrapped.”
“We wrapped actually in April. It'll be 20 years in April. I didn't realize that because I just think about it since we aired, which is almost 25 years," she explains. "The day before our last day was my birthday, I think, and the crew had a plane fly over with a banner for me, so I remember that. And I feel like my mom was visiting. It was very emotional."
In addition to Garner, the show starred Victor Garber, Michael Vartan, Bradley Cooper, Ron Rifkin and Carl Lumbly.
“It was so emotional. I've never been able to watch the last episode because Victor's character dies and I just can't see it. I can't even see it,” Garner admits.

Garber starred on Alias throughout its five-season run as Jack Bristow, the father of Garner’s Sydney Bristow, a double agent spy.
When asked about potentially reprising the role, Garner shares, “I don't have to revisit the character because she lives with me in a way that is so crazy, [with] how many people from Alias I talk to and see every single day.”

“I'm at work now. Our stunt coordinator was my double on Alias and now she's boss lady. I've had the same stand-in all this time," she continues. "I've had the same costumer all this time. The costume designer is from 13 Going on 30 that was after the second season of Alias. So she's been around."

“We've done, I don't even know how many things in the last 20 years," she adds, noting that she even recently saw Garber's stand-in.
Garner still keeps in touch with many of the cast and crew, noting that she has "spoken to Greg Grumberg, Michael Vartan and Marin Dungy" in recent years and "texted with" Garber, Rifkin and Abrams.
"So we're all very, very connected,” Garner adds.

When she is not catching up with her Alias costars, Garner is cooking on her show, Pretend Cooking Show. She also recently partnered with KitchenAid to launch the Artisan Plus Stand Mixer, which the brand calls “the most significant upgrade to its Tilt-Head Stand Mixer in 70 years.”
Garner told PEOPLE in March that she “dreamed of” having a KitchenAid stand mixer as a kid.
“I wanted one more than anything,” she said. “I thought it was just the coolest to have your mixer going while you were doing something else in the kitchen, and they're so beautiful. There's such an iconic look in the kitchen to have one. So I've called it my BFF forever.”
