Watching the Jacksonville Jaguars' Week 4 win over the Cincinnati Bengals unfold in real time, it was pretty clear that Travis Hunter was making a big impact.

And head coach Liam Coen agreed.

"He played his ass off today," Coen said afterward, via Jason Hamby. "I mean he had the pick that gets called back. I thought he had a ton of PBUs. He was in there. He had the huge tackle where he ended up knocking the dude out pretty good. I just thought Trav balled today and we knew with Buster being down and Braswell being down he was going to play every single snap of the game. Had some things for him on offense, but we just didn't feel like putting him out there -- 'oh man, he gets hurt on offense, we're in a real bad spot.' So didn't want to put ourselves at risk there and I was very proud of the way Travis played defensively today."

Without Montaric Brown (hamstring) and Christian Braswell (knee), there was no cornerback rotation for the Jaguars, which meant that Hunter played all 76 defensive snaps.

Hunter was targeted six times, according to PFF's early tracking data, but allowed just three receptions for a grand total of 21 yards.

He also forced two pass breakups and had an interception wiped away by a penalty on Arik Armstead. Joe Burrow's passer rating when targeting Hunter was only 58.3.

Hunter made three tackles as well. And while the stats highlighted showcased what happened when the ball came his way, not to be overlooked either is how sticky Hunter was in coverage; on 54 pass attempts by Joe Burrow, only six went his direction.

As Coen mentioned, Hunter did not play any offensive snaps with the heavy workload on defense and the Jaguars being short-handed at cornerback.

He did, however, showcase that high-end talent that he brings to the defensive side of the ball.
