Lori Loughlin’s new look sparked wig rumors, but her hair stylist is putting the speculation to rest.
On Thursday, April 16, the Full House alum, 61, attended the Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA) Opening Gala for the David Geffen Galleries with her daughter Olivia Jade Giannulli, and debuted a brand new ‘do.
Wearing a silver gown with a thigh-high split, Loughlin debuted a layered bob and new bangs — a style that sparked speculation that she did not undergo a hair transformation at all, but instead wore a wig. But her hairstylist, David Robert Naumann, is not having it.
On an Instagram post under Us Weekly’s coverage of Loughlin’s new look, one user commented, “Cute- but it’s a wig.”
In response, Naumann replied, “It’s not a wig ;) I’d know ❤️.”

The hairstylist also confirmed that he gave Loughlin the trim, sharing the same post on his Instagram Stories and writing, “Chop chop for Lori yesterday,” along with a scissors emoji.

At the LACMA gala, Loughlin sparkled in a floor-length gown with a square neck and a high slit, which exposed her silver high heels. She completed her look with a pair of dainty earrings, a pink lip and rosy cheeks.
Her 26-year-old daughter, meanwhile, complimented her mom’s look in a black gown. Her dress had a halter-neck top with a sheer bodice, connected to a peplum skirt featuring a small train. She shared on her own Instagram Stories that her hair was done by Amanda Lee and her makeup by Diane Buzzetta.
Loughlin shares both Olivia Jade and 27-year-old daughter Isabella Rose Giannulli with her estranged husband, fashion designer Mossimo Giannulli. PEOPLE confirmed that the couple had split after nearly 28 years together in October 2025.

Olivia Jade’s latest outing with her mom comes after Loughlin stepped out with both of her daughters at the Women’s Cancer Research Fund’s Unforgettable Evening 2026 gala in Beverly Hills on March 11.
Naumann also did Loughlin’s hair for this March outing, which marked the mother and daughters’ first red-carpet appearance together since the 2019 college admissions cheating scandal.
In 2019, she and Mossimo, 62, pleaded guilty to wire and mail fraud after they were accused of paying $500,000 to a college consultant who falsely designated their daughters as recruits to the University of Southern California's crew team despite never having played the sport. Loughlin served two months in prison while Giannulli served five months.
