Surprise! Coachella Weekend 2 has officially kicked off, and of course, it did so with a bang. During her second headlining set, Sabrina Carpenter brought just as much energy and just as many custom Dior looks (thank you, Jonathan Anderson). But this time, she also brought out an extra-special musical guest: Madonna.
Taking the stage two decades after her debut Coachella performance, the star joined the “Espresso” singer for a duet of her hit songs “Vogue” and “Like a Prayer.” The two also treated the crowd to a new track from Madonna’s upcoming album, Confessions on A Dance Floor: Part II, a sequel to 2005’s Confessions on a Dance Floor.
“20 years ago today, I performed at Coachella,” Madonna shared with the audience. “I was in the dance tent, and it was the first time I performed Confessions on a Dance Floor: Part I in America. And that was such a thrill for me, so you can imagine what a thrill it is for me to be back 20 years later in the same boots, the same corset, the jacket I had on earlier, the same Gucci jacket. So, it’s like a full circle moment, very meaningful for me.”

She wore the 20-year-old corset, a purple piece, over a lacy camisole and matching little shorts—making for a very Sabchella-fitting look. She paired it long gloves and thigh-high stockings that peeked out the top of her tall vintage boots.
Next to her, Carpenter wore a white silk-and-lace bodysuit.
Continuing to address the crowd, Madonna reminded everyone that “the great thing about music is that it brings people together… It’s the one place that people have to put their differences aside, put their shit down, and just everybody have a good time together, right?”
