South Side is on the verge of making history!
The Chicago White Sox are one win away from punching their ticket to the American League Championship Series, and if they pull it off, it'll be the first time in 21 years they'll see themselves in a best-of-7.
White Sox right fielder Braden Montgomery knocked a two-run double down the right-field line during sixth-inning action, putting Chicago in the lead, and starting pitcher Sean Burke only gave up one hit in 5 1/3 innings of relief work as Chi-Town rallied for a 4-3 victory Monday over the Cleveland Guardians. The Sox now hold a 2-0 advantage in the American League Division Series.
Taking place at Guaranteed Rate Field, Game 3 is set for Wednesday afternoon when Chicago has its first of two opportunities to do something they haven't done in over 100 years: win a playoff series at home.

That's right, ladies and gentlemen. The White Sox haven't won a postseason series in Chicago since 1906.
Let that sink in for a second: Teddy Roosevelt was in the White House the last time the South Siders clinched a playoff series at home. That's crazy.
But if the streak breaks Wednesday, it will make all the sense in the world that this was the team to do it. These boys are young, completely fearless and playing with nothing but house money.
I mean, damn, the way they just went into Cleveland and stole two consecutive games from the Guardians was special to see considering the White Sox' story.
I'll be rooting for South Side. And Chicago, I want to see Guaranteed Rate Field turned into an absolute madhouse for Game 3. I want the energy to be deafening from the very first pitch.
I want the magic of October to continue for the Sox — make it happen, Chi-Town.
