NASCAR points standings: Cup Series points update after San Diego race
Tyler Reddick lost more of his NASCAR Cup Series points lead after a late-race flat tire in the Anduril 250 on June 21 at Naval Base Coronado in San Diego.
Reddick and Corey Heim, the part-timer who will be full-time in 2027, battled for the win in the final laps, with Heim prevailing before Reddick cut a left-front tire down. Heim earned his first career Cup win at San Diego ahead of his full-time move into a 23XI Racing ride next season.
Denny Hamlin finished 14th and is now eight points behind Reddick, while the 2026 Daytona 500 champion sunk to a 25th-place finish.
Near the Chase bubble, Shane van Gisbergen's DNF erased any buffer he had to the cutline. SVG will get another chance for a good points day next weekend at Sonoma, the last road-course race of the season.
