Folarin Balogun is reportedly in favor of a move away from AS Monaco as the French club decide what to do with the USMNT star.

Balogun is currently starring at the 2026 FIFA World Cup, with two goals to go with his pair of MVP awards from Mauricio Pochettino's side's matches so far as they top Group D ahead of their final match of the group stage against Turkey on Thursday night.

The Brooklyn native currently plays his club football for AS Monaco, signing for the French side in 2023 for around $34m after a fine spell with their Ligue 1 rivals Reims.

Balogun, 24, decided to leave Arsenal after 15 years with the club in search of a new challenge having put himself in the shop window with 21 goals during his time with Reims.

Now, both player and club are at a crossroads. Balogun's contract comes to an end in two years and Monaco will be keen not to let it run down and see the asset value of the player decrease.

The Athletic reports that Balogun 'favours' a move away from the club and early talks have begun about a move.

They claim that Premier League teams are keen, while there are clubs in Europe who could make a move, too, with Monaco reportedly looking for around $57m for the player.

Everton have been mentioned as a potential landing spot for Balogun, while there has been some talk of a potential return to Arsenal.

The Gunners did not include a buy-back clause in the agreement struck with Monaco back in 2023, but they will be entitled to 17.5 per cent of any transfer fee if he is on the move.

Balogun is a British citizen having grown up in London so counts as a homegrown player for Premier League sides looking to make a move, while it would not be a surprise to see MLS teams try and make a play for the striker.

He has made a real impression at the World Cup so far, leading the line for Pochettino's men, coming into the tournament off the back of a breakout campaign for Monaco with 24 goal contributions in 43 games.
